A 3D animated short following a young girl a few years after her wizard mother goes missing. With a director and a small group of talented artists, I am helping with story, concept and previs animation.
SPIRIT OF THE CRYSTAL
ANIMATOR - 2019
​
An action packed 3D animated short about a man who had just stolen a crystal from a jewelry store. We follow the man in his efforts to escape the police and find the second use for this special gem.

A pair of researching aliens are assigned their last mission to help their home planet understand human traditions. Although their attempt to reconstruct a Christmas tree doesn't turn out completely as planed, they end up coming home heroes.

I worked on a two minute 3D animated short in which I created starting with the story and ending with the final output and editing.

LEVEL DESIGNER/ CONCEPT ARTIST
LIFE OF TAR 2017

A team of seven designers and I (three Interior, three Animation, and two Game) from The University of Wisconsin-Stout went out to Los Angeles for two and a half weeks to tour studios and museums. Once we were back in Wisconsin, we created a virtual experience space based off of what we saw out in California, featuring architecture and inspiration from sites like the La Brea Tar Pits, Museum of Neon Art, The Griffith Observatory, and the Huntington. I being one of the Animators did some of the concept art, modeling and level design.

The player in our world is enjoying the pleasures of nature and stumbles into an open tar pit that slowly descends the player into darkness. The fear the player may initially feel is replaced with wonder and exploration in the new cave as they try to find a way to escape.
